Built by Manan Parikh
My name is Manan Parikh. I built BusinessCalcs because I kept running into the same frustration: important financial decisions — choosing between tax regimes, figuring out whether a home loan was actually affordable, estimating how long a startup's cash would last — required either a complex spreadsheet or a calculator that spat out a single number with no explanation of what moved it.
I am a builder based in India, and the problems I kept encountering were very India-specific: GST invoicing math, old vs new income tax regime comparisons, EPF projections, Swiggy and Zomato margin math, SIP returns against inflation. There were individual tools for some of these scattered across the web, but nothing that brought them together with proper explanatory context for someone making a real financial decision under time pressure.
I started building BusinessCalcs in 2025 as a side project and it grew into something much larger than I originally planned. The site now covers 30+ calculators across tax, business planning, home finance, investing, and creator economics — each paired with an editorial guide that explains the underlying concepts and the trade-offs involved, not just the formula mechanics.
BusinessCalcs is not a brokerage, a lender, a tax advisory firm, or a bank. It is a decision-support product. The calculators are designed to improve clarity and help you ask better questions — not to replace professional advice for high-stakes decisions.
